To submit notices of birth, you must register a BDM account. Make sure you select account type: Individual. Read more on how to register for our online services.
What you can do online
Notify BDM of all births that you attend as an independent midwife:
- Create new notices of birth
- Save drafts so you can review them before submitting
- View submitted notifications
- Search your drafts and submitted items.
Help parents register a birth
You can support parents by printing our information sheets or pointing them to information in languages other than English. See Help parents register a birth.
