You now need a Service Victoria account to complete online transactions. When you log into your BDM account, we’ll ask you to link your Service Victoria account or create a new one. Service partners are not affected.

Start a new marriage notification

How to start a new notice of marriage in BDM's online system.

  1. Choose Notice of marriage > New from the top menu
  2. Fill in the form. It will tell you if something is missing or incorrect. Help with filling in the form
  3. Select the Save as draft button below the form. You can continue working on it or come back to it later
  4. Order a certificate, if required
  5. Submit the form from your Drafts list once it is complete
  6. Pay for the certificate from the Submitted list.
